This Tamiya R/C kit recreates the Toyota GR 86 in 1/10 scale. The GR 86 is a lightweight, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car, announced in April 2021. It has a broad stance and a low center of gravity, along with aerodynamic parts rooted in motorsport. The aluminum hood, roof and front fenders keep weight down, and the suspension uses front struts and rear double wishbones. The car is powered by a 2.4-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder DOHC engine rated at 235hp. The TT-02 chassis uses shaft-driven 4WD, with the battery on the left and the motor on the right for stability. Its left and right suspension arms and uprights are identical, which simplifies assembly, and its gearboxes are easy to maintain. It offers two wheelbases, two ground clearance settings, two tread setups and 10 gear ratios.
