The CC-02 (Cross Country 2) is Tamiya's revamped trail chassis. It is built for a wide range of off-road scenes, including rocky terrain. Its ladder frame is inspired by full-size vehicles and gives it strong durability. The motor sits longitudinally behind the front axle, and the gearbox and transfer case are separate. Propeller shafts send power to the front and rear differential gears. Four-link rigid suspension with CVA oil dampers controls the wheels, even over tricky rock sections. The first body for this chassis is a detailed polycarbonate recreation of the Mercedes-Benz G 500, which joined the Mercedes SUV range in 2018. It comes with matte plated seven-spoke wheels and grippy block pattern tires. The photos show a painted, assembled model for display only.
