This figure kit recreates German machine gun troops using modern molding techniques. In WWII the German Army relied on two machine guns, the MG34 and MG42, as the core of its small arms. Both offered strong firepower and high rates of fire. A folding tripod Lafette and telephoto optical sight let them work at long range, and a loader magazine allowed one soldier to fire. A team normally had three to five soldiers: a gunner and loader pair, plus others who carried ammunition, spare barrels and the tripod. Their missions ranged from defense against enemies to supporting other troops. 1/35 scale plastic model assembly set. Authentic German machine gun troops from the middle of WWII. Parts for five figures in realistic poses: a soldier firing the MG42, main and sub gunners firing from the Lafette, a commander supporting them, and an ammunition carrier replenishing ammo. New components include detailed Lafette and accessories. Ammunition cases are detailed with slide molding. Suited to diorama building.
