Finish-Cure 20 minute epoxy is a low-odor alternative to polyester resin. Use it to apply fiberglass cloth to wood, or on its own to give wood a surface ready for primer and paint. It sands more easily than any other epoxy in the line and suits sheeting foam core wings. Allow 8 hours for full cure. For best results, warm it above 85 degrees F. With lightweight fiberglass, lay the cloth on balsa first, brush on the epoxy, then pass a heat gun over the saturated surface and squeegee off the excess with a playing card. Repeat several times for a light finish. Below 70 degrees F, run the heat gun over the surface several times during the next 2 hours. When dry, sand lightly, fill with lightweight spackling, scrape off the excess, and sand smooth for primer. For heavyweight fiberglass, apply epoxy both before and after laying the cloth. Mix in a disposable cup.
