Slow-Cure 30 minute epoxy works best for forming reinforcing fillets at joints. It is the strongest of our epoxies, and it is waterproof and more heat resistant. It can be used for bonding if you can wait overnight. Microballoons or similar fillers can be mixed with Slow-Cure or Finish-Cure into a putty-like consistency, which usually shortens working time by about 25 percent. Bonds can be handled after 8 hours, and the epoxy reaches full strength within 24 hours.

• Bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Roughen smooth, non-porous surfaces with coarse sandpaper first. Acetone or isopropyl rubbing alcohol are the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy.
