The Nissan Skyline GT-R was first built in 1969 as a road-going racer and quickly earned praise from motorsports fans. Nissan revived the model in May 1989, 16 years after the previous GT-R. The 2568cc, six-cylinder, DOHC, 24-valve engine uses twin ceramic turbochargers with an intercooler and produces 280hp. It was designed for competition. The car uses Nissan's ATTESA E-TS variable torque-split four-wheel drive and SUPER-HICAS four-wheel steering. Its multi-link suspension geometry reduces spin during hard racing.
