A green compound front tire for 2WD buggies, from the JConcepts Sprinter 2.2 line. The Sprinter sits between the popular Double Dees and the other pin tires from JConcepts. Square, angled pins are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tire. A stacked tread typically wears less and offers more forward bite, while the aligned spacing aids rotation and gives a snappy release through the turns. The team focused on durability and performance for loose surfaces that are wet or dusty. Dirt-oval racing and cars with mid-motor or laydown transmissions called for a new pin style and a new carcass and outer tread design. Angled pins on the outer sidewall help the tire rotate, which dirt off-road and dirt-oval racing both need. The blended tread is supported by a generous radius that promotes pin snap and resists tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the center, which adds push at high speed.
