A JConcepts Sprinter tire in green compound for SCT 3.0 x 2.2 wheels. The Sprinter fills the gap between the Double Dees and the other JConcepts pin tires. Square, angled pins are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tread. A stacked tread typically wears less and offers more forward bite, while the aligned spacing aids rotation and gives a snappy release through the turns. The tread was built for durability and performance on loose surfaces that are wet or dusty. The rise of dirt-oval racing, along with mid-motor and laydown transmission designs, called for a new pin style, carcass, and outer tread. Angled pins on the outer sidewall help the tire release the turn and rotate, which dirt off-road and dirt-oval racing both need. A generous radius blends the tread into the tire body, promoting pin snap and resisting tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the center to add push where it matters.
