A JConcepts Sprinter tire in blue compound for SCT 3.0 x 2.2 wheels. The Sprinter sits between the popular Double Dees and the other pin tires from JConcepts. Its square, angled pins are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tire. A stacked tread typically wears less and gives more forward bite, and the aligned spacing helps the car rotate and release quickly in the turns. The new tread was developed with durability and performance in mind, for loose surfaces that are wet or dusty. Dirt-oval racing and cars with mid-motor or laydown transmissions called for a new pin style, carcass, and outer tread design. Angled pins on the outer sidewall help the tire release the turn and rotate, which matters in dirt off-road and especially in dirt oval. The tread blends into the tire body over a generous radius, which promotes pin snap and resists tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars link several pins near the center of the tire to add push where it counts.
