An inner sidewall support adapter for 1/8 buggy tires. Under high traction or load, the sidewall flexes, which causes oversteer and inconsistent handling. Glue the adapter in and the sidewall stiffens, which helps a driver carry smoother arcs and radius turns on track. It has been used in competition on glued, sealed, or naturally grippy surfaces where rolling traction or oversteer is a problem. On rough, bumpy, or dusty tracks, the added support also helps the car drive more consistently. At the Southern Nationals, Spencer Rivkin and the JConcepts race team fitted the adapters into Reflex tires, and Rivkin finished on the podium. On a badly eroded, loose surface, the supports went only on the inside of the outer sidewall and were tack glued in place. Because the adapter suits many tires, users get a wider setup window on any surface.
