About this part

The HS-488HB is the 25-tooth version of the HS-485HB and an update to the HS-475HB, with more torque and greater speed. It uses a top ball bearing, heavy-duty high-impact Karbonite gears and high-performance circuitry for strong torque, centering and resolution. It suits helicopters and aircraft up to 72" or up to 12 lbs when one servo runs each control surface.

Note

• High-vibration gas engines combined with large control surfaces and large throws, as on 3D models, can put undue strain on the gears. Metal-geared servos are recommended for these uses, even under 12 lbs.
• WARNING:
• Do not use thread lockers on a Karbonite-geared servo. They will cause the output shaft to fail.
