After months of development, Reedy released the Sonic 540-M4 competition 1:10 brushless motor. Internally it is close to the 540-M3 it replaces, and it keeps the same linear powerband and mid-range feel that Reedy's modified motors are known for. The inner bearing now sits in the can instead of the sensor assembly. This aligns the rotor more precisely in the magnetic field and cuts noise and vibration. The motor is shorter, which centralizes weight in the chassis. Combined with the can changes, this reduces weight by 5-10g. A balanced, high-strength rotor gives fade-free power, and several optional rotors are available to tune for specific applications and tracks. Precision stainless steel ball bearings handle high RPM loads.
