A 1/32 scale 1956 Cadillac Eldorado built from the mid-1950s AMT/Revell tooling. It includes chrome-plated parts, a newly tooled glass windshield, two figures, a multi-piece body, and a detailed engine and interior. The model measures 7 inches long and has 59 parts molded in white, chrome, and clear. It is officially licensed by General Motors. Skill level 2. HISTORY: The first Eldorado was a hand-built show car shown at the 1952 GM Motorama in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, marking the golden anniversary of the Cadillac company, which was formed in 1902. The name comes from El Dorado, the Spanish lost city of gold. Its advanced features included a panoramic windshield and jet-like exhaust stacks through the rear bumper, and later Cadillacs and other makers adopted similar ideas. The next year, a few special-order cars carried the original's design features. By 1954, with demand growing, the Eldorado was set apart mainly by its trim.
