About this part
Extra coarse brown talus is a 21.6 cubic inch (353 cm3) bag of rock fragments for rock piles, slides and blast sites. Blend grades and colors for realism, and color it with Earth Colors Liquid Pigment. Ballast runs along the track bed to keep rails in place, while talus stands in for rock debris at the foot of outcroppings, rocky slopes and embankments. For sand, seal fine grade talus in a plastic bag, then tap it with a hammer on a safe surface until the grain suits you. Earth Colors Liquid Pigment can tint it to a sand color. Other grades: fine brown talus is WOOC1274, medium brown is WOOC1275, and coarse brown is WOOC1276. Fits general hobby HO and N scale trains.
