This is the shaft only, for the HOSS and Rustler 4x4. It is wider than the stock shaft but still light. The shaft is a dog bone design rather than a splined shaft, so it is less likely to bind, split, or bend. It is machined from aluminum and laser etched and black anodized for wear resistance. Hardened steel outdrives at each end are sold separately.
