Photo-etched parts are a practical way to lift the finish of a model, though stainless metal needs more care than plastic. These bending pliers are the third tool in Tamiya's set for photo-etched work, after modeling scissors for cutting out parts and a diamond file for removing flash. Tamiya's original design uses long nose grippers with no teeth. They bend and shape photo-etched parts cleanly and precisely without leaving marks. The handle has a special coating for a secure grip.
