A hybrid gearbox housing from RPM in blue, for 2WD Traxxas 1/10 scale Slash, Stampede, E-Rustler and Bandit. The motor plate is 0.12 inch (3mm) thick 6061-T6 aluminum, which adds strength to hold gear mesh and dissipates heat better than the stock plastic plate. It is separate from the rear bumper mounts, so a rear collision will not damage it. The molded nylon housing uses the stock bumper mounting holes. Because the housing and rear mounts are separate, transmission work does not change suspension settings. The 0 and 3 molded rear mounts have tighter tolerances and less slop than machined parts, which helps camber and toe hold their settings.
