This front bumper and skid plate is for the Losi Baja Rey and works with the Losi Ford Raptor body. It follows the design of RPM's original Baja Rey front bumper (RPM #73742) and carries over its key features. The skid plate now sits below the aluminum chassis plate instead of between the chassis plate and the differential. The aluminum chassis plate now has skid protection where it had none before. The move also allowed a flex zone in the skid plate, which absorbs impacts that would otherwise go into the front differential and chassis plate. The bumper has its own flex zone. It compresses under extreme impacts and returns to its original shape once the energy is gone. The bumper is also thicker than stock, which helps it take more impact.
