Kyosho Optima Pro Kit, Vintage Series, 1:10

The Optima Pro returns as the 15th model in Kyosho's Vintage Series, 37 years after it first appeared. The Optima, a 1/10 scale electric 4WD buggy, debuted in 1985 as a top competition model. It used a ladder frame with a rear motor layout like the 2WD Scorpion series, along with a chain drive to the front wheels. The Optima Pro, released in 1987, was the peak of that line. This relaunch keeps the frame and drive system, but uses a slimmer aero body and underbody. The battery and steering servo have moved to improve weight distribution and concentrate heavy parts in the center of the chassis. Like other Vintage Series models, it keeps the original design while updating components to work with modern R/C systems and power sources. These functional components are unique to the modern Optima Pro. The frame is a traditional ladder tube type.
