This Hot Racing pinion gear has 18 teeth at 48 pitch. It is machined from hard-anodized 7075 aluminum on a CNC, with a short shank and the tooth count stamped on the face for easy identification. The hard anodizing forms a grey layer of aluminum oxide on the surface. It works in most applications that call for a 48 pitch pinion.
