The IMPACT tire from AKA Racing, in the soft long wear EVO version, mounted and white. Its dense small square lug pattern has offset lug rows in the center for maximum forward traction and good wear. The two outer lug rows run parallel to form a circumferential groove at the edge, giving very predictable side bite. The car can rotate mid-corner and still feel stable. The buggy version was the winning tire at the 2010-2011 IFMAR World Championships. The EVO truggy tire uses a new ROAR-legal 1:8 truggy bead design that mirrors the 1:8 buggy bead, for easier assembly and a stronger bond between wheel and tire. The carcass shape was refined to suit that bead, and internal ribbing limits tire growth at high RPM while supporting the contact patch in corners. Together these improve handling and lower lap times.
